Diasporic dance and embodiment workshop on June 15th, 1-2pm at 333nergy.
This workshop was born from studio dance breaks and the Embodied Generations figure drawing and movement workshop. Participants can expect a beginner friendly dance class that focuses on movement from the African diaspora. The focus is on embodying the elements, the music, connecting with each other and ancestors, improvisation, grooves~vibes~and phrases over choreography, and dancing for the soul. Imagine Zumba without appropriation and QTBIPOC futurity without limits.
